We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate educator to work one-on-one with a child in their home environment.

The primary focus of this role is on developing functional academics, communication skills, and supporting daily living activities (ADLs) through personalized special education sessions.

This freelance, contract-based position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to make a positive impact on a child's life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver customized special education programs tailored to meet the unique needs of each child
  • Foster strong communication, basic literacy, and language skills through engaging and structured activities
  • Support children in achieving independence in ADLs, such as dressing, eating, and personal care
  • Conduct regular assessments to set measurable goals and track progress towards achievement
  • Create innovative and age-appropriate learning tools and methods that promote engagement and motivation
  • Maintain accurate records of session activities and update relevant stakeholders regularly
  • Collaborate with parents, therapists, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for each child
Requirements:
  • Degree in Special Education or a related field (RCI-registered preferred)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with children with developmental disabilities
  • Strong understanding of effective communication strategies and life skills training
  • Able to work independently in a home-based setting with minimal supervision
  • Embody a respectful, non-judgmental, and family-focused approach in all interactions
