Business Unit Overview

Nomura's investment banking business provides advisory and capital-raising solutions to corporations, financial institutions, governments and public-sector organizations worldwide. Our teams act as geographic, product and industry specialists.

We focus on domestic, regional and cross-border collaboration in M&A, DCM, ECM, and Client Financing and Solutions businesses. Global sector teams include FIG, Technology, Media & Services (TMS) Energy, Infrastructure & Industrials (GII), Consumer Retail, Healthcare and Financial Sponsors.

The Investment Banking Powai team supports the global investment banking business for Nomura.

Position Specifications

Role Title : Analyst

Experience : 0-4 years

Qualification : Post Graduate/ CA along with JLPT L3

Responsibilities
  • Analyze financial and market data of companies and work on assignments such as creating company profiles, industry specific slides, company valuations, execution of debt and equity offerings and M&A
  • Detailed financial and/or market analyses, company and industry research and financial statement analyses
  • Work closely with colleagues in Japan and other Nomura offices around the globe
Mind Set
  • Ability to work well in multi-cultural teams and perform efficiently under time constraints
  • Proficiency in Japanese language (Cleared Level N5 of JLPT exams at the minimum)
  • Strong desire to excel, high degree of motivation and willing to take leadership and responsibility for projects
  • Business or Finance major; accounting coursework is a significant advantage
  • Strong quantitative skills and ability to produce consistently high-quality, accurate work
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
