Job Title: Business Development Lead – Parametric Insurance

We are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Business Development Lead to spearhead the growth of our Parametric Insurance vertical.

This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a proven track record in building sales from scratch, strong industry connections, and in-depth knowledge of parametric risk solutions.

  • Spearhead strategic initiatives to drive business growth and expansion.
  • Design and implement effective go-to-market strategies to capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline to ensure consistent deal closures.
  • Foster partnerships with key stakeholders, including insurers, reinsurance firms, agri-input companies, NBFCs, cooperatives, and government agencies.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of market trends, weather and climate risk data, government policy shifts, and competitor offerings.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Agriculture, Climate Science, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in business development, preferably in parametric or climate-risk insurance, reinsurance, or rural financial services.
  • Demonstrated experience in setting up and scaling a sales function from ground zero.
  • In-depth knowledge of parametric insurance products, climate data, and risk triggers.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong execution skills and adaptability in dynamic environments.
