We are a pioneering tech-driven platform revolutionising procurement in the oil and gas industry by streamlining processes for contractors and vendors. Our automated solutions help find relevant suppliers, send RFQs, and finalise vendors, reducing procurement costs by up to 5% and project delays.

Position Overview:

This role is pivotal in ensuring suppliers respond promptly to inquiries on our platform, enhancing their experience and success. The successful candidate will be responsible for initial supplier outreach, maintaining engagement, and supporting their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Supplier Onboarding and Engagement

We expect the ideal candidate to proactively reach out to new suppliers via calls, emails, and chats to introduce them to our platform. They should clearly communicate the benefits of lead generation and enhanced supplier visibility.

The selected individual will guide suppliers through the onboarding process, support profile setup, and RFQ response mechanisms.

Preferred Experience: A background in working with vendors in the oil and gas industry is highly preferred, allowing the candidate to relate to and better support supplier needs.

Response Management:

The candidate will monitor supplier responses to RFQs and follow up to ensure timely and high-quality replies. Developing rapport with suppliers to encourage engagement and streamline the response process is crucial.

Addressing any supplier queries about RFQs, offering guidance on best practices for response, is also essential.

Relationship Building and Support:

Maintaining regular communication with suppliers to build long-term relationships is vital. The candidate will act as the primary contact for suppliers, assisting with issues, inquiries, or feedback on the platform.

Essential Skills: Exceptional listening and communication skills, with the ability to reason effectively and establish trust, are required. The ideal candidate has a talent for building rapport over phone calls, making suppliers feel heard and valued.

Gathering and sharing supplier feedback with internal teams to inform platform improvements is also necessary.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

Tracking key metrics related to supplier responsiveness and engagement on our platform is crucial. Providing regular reports on supplier performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, is also essential.

Working collaboratively with the team to optimise supplier success strategies based on performance insights is vital.

Continuous Process Improvement:

Identifying areas for streamlining supplier management and response processes is essential. Collaborating with product and operations teams to develop enhancements for a better supplier experience is also necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Industry Background: Experience in supplier or vendor management, especially within the oil and gas industry, is highly preferred.
  • Communication Strength: Exceptional listening and communication skills, with a focus on reasoning and rapport-building over the phone.
  • Ambition and Growth Orientation: A strong internal drive to excel, with a hunger to become the best in the role, is required.
  • Highly organised and proactive in managing follow-ups and relationship-building.
  • Familiarity with procurement or lead generation platforms is a plus.
