Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Assistant to support our finance and operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping, preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with tax-related filings.

About the Role
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with Australian accounting standards
  • Assist with BAS, GST, and other tax-related filings
  • Process payroll and superannuation contributions (if required)
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities

The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, or MYOB, and solid understanding of BAS, GST, superannuation, and other Australian compliance requirements.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience (Australian clients or companies preferred)
  • Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, or MYOB
  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of BAS, GST, superannuation, and other Australian compliance requirements
  • Communication: Fluent English (written and verbal). Clear, professional, and confident communicator
