Procurement is a vital function in the electronics and IoT industry, requiring specialized knowledge of electronic components, sensors, and PCBs. As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a critical role in sourcing and procuring these essential items for wearable and IoT devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify reliable suppliers and negotiate contracts to ensure timely delivery and optimal pricing.
  • Develop relationships with global manufacturers, focusing on China, Taiwan, and India to meet production needs.
  • Manage RFQs, vendor negotiations, and purchase orders to achieve cost efficiency and quality standards.
  • Work closely with engineering and R&D teams to understand technical requirements and translate them into sourcing specifications.
  • Evaluate and onboard alternate suppliers to reduce single-source dependency and mitigate supply risks.
  • Monitor inventory levels, lead times, and supply chains to proactively address potential shortages or delays.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in procurement/supply chain for electronics or hardware.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic components, PCBs, and sensors.
  • Experience in vendor management and global sourcing, with a preference for China/East Asia.
  • Familiarity with import/export procedures, logistics, and customs clearance.
  • Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and procurement tools.
