Job Title: Manufacturing Excellence

About the Role:

  • To identify and deliver service improvement activities across the business by employing process improvement methodologies and innovative thinking.
  • Work with key business stakeholders and the Centre of Excellence to build a continuous improvement environment supporting manufacturing transformation, leading WCM practices, and facilitating change initiatives from inception to delivery.
  • Support better value and efficiency through eliminating unnecessary complexity in business processes and identifying better ways of working.
  • Assist in developing and implementing a best-in-class continuous improvement strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement a standard world-class manufacturing framework across pan-India plants.
  • Collaborate with team members and business services departments to devise new support materials based on revised processes, including training, reporting, and systems enhancements.
  • Monitor project risks, foresee potential problems, and proactively identify solutions.
  • Evaluate business impact and project objectives/dependencies, reporting and managing them at all times.
  • Establish a program, provide coaching, and run projects across plants.
  • Complete post-implementation reviews to ensure successful delivery and improve future projects.
  • Improve efficiency KPIs in manufacturing sites.
  • Implement lean methods for increased efficiency, throughput, and operational excellence.
  • Take ownership of change initiatives from evolution/efficiency identification through to project delivery via internal governance and controls.
  • Support plant teams in benchmarking, problem-solving, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Support operations in policy deployment, cascading KPIs, and KRAs at all business levels.
  • Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department.
  • Ensure ongoing learning and development of employees in Lean improvement tools and communication methods.
  • Coach and facilitate teams to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
  • Manage cross-functional team members and interact professionally with partners, senior managers, and subject matter experts.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • A good honors degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • An excellent understanding of continuous improvement concepts, including Six Sigma, Lean, and value stream mapping.
  • Strong analytical, project, and product management skills.
  • The ability to set up, facilitate, and lead service improvement/workshops with business stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Project, Visio, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
