Leadership Position in Lean Transformation

This key role leads and supports strategic process improvement projects. It applies definition, measurement, analysis, improvement, and control techniques to optimize facility utilization, workflow organization, and collaboration with colleagues.

The main goal is to implement lean methods to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity through team engagement and empowerment.

  • Engage groups and individuals across functions to identify quality improvement projects focusing on key business processes.
  • Communicate progress of quality improvement projects with the Champion and steering committee team.
  • Provide expert advice and assistance as a Six Sigma coach to Green Belts, Process Owners, and Team Members in statistics, change management, and process design strategies.
  • Analyze data about team activities, monitor six sigma project progress, and ensure timely completion.
  • Motivate team members to participate effectively in improvement activities and recognize those with good performance.
  • Implement SPC systems and tools in the department to monitor and control processes.
  • Collaborate with global teams to develop the annual lean transformation plan for each site or functional area based on value stream maps and Strategy Deployment objectives.

Key Responsibilities & Expectations

  • Lead and influence others in teams through education/communication that change in methodology is the right thing to do.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify high-impact improvement opportunities and their business champions.
  • Track/report project results and ensure improved processes stay improved.
  • Lead multi-disciplined teams addressing quality issues and executing systemic improvement projects in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate and coach teams to support business growth with high empowerment levels.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly reports pertaining to operations.
  • Ensure adherence to basic quality management system principles.
  • And other assigned tasks.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree in engineering and/or equivalent related field is required.

Experience

  • Overall experience of 4 to 7 years, out of which three (3) or more years of LEAN & Six Sigma experience.
  • Technical knowledge of lean principles, tools, and techniques.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Black Belt Certification is an advantage.
  • Working experience in Lean / Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement.
  • Strong business sense, fast learner, and self-motivated with high discipline.
  • Strong facilitation skills and analytical techniques.
  • Ability to understand quickly data, and create proper analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and presentation & communication skills.
  • Proficient in various tools; Kanban, 5S, visual management, Poka-Yoke methods, VSM, pull systems, etc.
  • Good command of spoken and written English.
