Data Protection Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Protection Specialist to join our organization in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safeguarding client data and ensuring compliance with relevant privacy regulations.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive security and privacy assessments to identify vulnerabilities and risks.
- Develop and implement robust security policies and procedures to protect sensitive information.
- Provide expert recommendations for improving data protection and privacy practices.
- Assist clients in meeting regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, and local laws.
- Design and deliver training programs to educate employees on security and privacy best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address security and privacy concerns.
- Perform regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to security protocols.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-6 years of experience in security and privacy consulting or a related field.
- Strong understanding of information security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, etc.).
- Experience with data protection regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
- Knowledge of security technologies and tools (firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption, etc.).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and team members.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are preferred.
