Job Title: Product Development Specialist

Role Overview:

Product development specialists play a vital role in woven garments manufacturing. They are responsible for coordinating the end-to-end product development process, ensuring timely delivery of products that meet buyer specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with design teams to develop seasonal collections according to customer requirements.
  • Develop samples, negotiate prices, and confirm orders with buyers.
  • Manage material ordering processes, focusing on cost reduction and budget optimization.
  • Maintain exceptional attention to detail and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience in handling both small and high-value businesses is essential.
  • Strong communication skills are required for effective collaboration with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Technical knowledge of woven garment manufacturing processes, including shirts, jackets, bottoms, and other categories, is crucial.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in textiles, apparel merchandising, fashion technology, or equivalent fields.
  • 1-8 years of experience as a product development specialist in woven garment factories, preferably with buyer-handling experience.
  • Strong understanding of woven fabrics, garment construction, costing, and production processes.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP/MIS systems.
  • Ability to multitask, handle pressure, and meet strict deadlines.
