Job Description:

As a Regional Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for enhancing collection efficiency and improving recovery rates on assigned portfolios.

You will initiate legal proceedings against problematic customers, lead a team of collections specialists attached to various branches across the state for unsecured business loans.

Drive performance improvement initiatives through allocated officers who handle agencies, identify areas of weakness, recommend solutions, and support the collections team in achieving targets.

Ensure timely case allocation to collections managers and executives based on geography and portfolio vintage.

Monitor collection efficiency through daily reports and regular reviews with the team.

Develop and execute strategic plans, including hiring strategies.

Disseminate targets, KPIs, and incentive structures to the team at the beginning of each month.

Conduct periodic audits of agencies and in-house processes through the audit team and ensure compliance with internal and external guidelines.

Motivate team members through coaching, development, and training interventions.

Support data quality management and improve customer information availability through timely feedback.

Stay up-to-date on emerging trends and best practices in collection management.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in any specialization, proven experience in collection management, preferably in the unsecured lending industry, strong knowledge of collection practices, legal regulations, and debt recovery procedures.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are required, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in MS Office and collection management software is essential.

Knowledge of local laws and regulations relating to debt collection is also necessary.
