US Sales Tax Manager Job Summary
">We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented US Sales Tax Manager to oversee the end-to-end management of sales and use tax compliance for our operations.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accurate and timely filing of returns across multiple states and jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes in US indirect taxes and assess their business impact.
- Provide tax advice to stakeholders on customer invoicing, pricing structures, and procurement tax implications.
- Collaborate with IT and operations teams to ensure system tax settings are accurate and updated.
- Assist with process improvements and automation initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce risks.
- Maintain thorough documentation and controls to support tax positions and audit readiness.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in US sales & use tax, including filing and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of multi-state tax laws, and exemptions.
- Experience handling state audits and notices.
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and accountability.
