Corporate Tax Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Tax Compliance Specialist to lead our corporate tax compliance operations for clients. This role offers end-to-end ownership of the compliance cycle with leadership responsibilities and stakeholder interaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage monthly and annual UAE corporate tax computations for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all submissions.
  • Review tax workings and ensure reconciliation with financial statements, identifying and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE Corporate Tax law, including DTAA provisions and international transaction treatment, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes.
  • Handle computation of Deferred Tax Assets (DTA) and Deferred Tax Liabilities (DTL) as per IFRS/GAAP, providing technical guidance to team members.
  • Finalize and submit tax deliverables within deadlines, communicating effectively with client finance teams and stakeholders.
Client Coordination & Communication:
  • Coordinate with client finance teams for data, clarifications, and alignment on tax positions, fostering strong relationships and trust.
  • Participate in scheduled calls to present deliverables and ensure smooth submission processes, providing regular updates and insights.
  • Address follow-ups, documentation queries, and support in tax authority communication, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills.
Implementation & Process Improvement:
  • Interpret and implement updates in UAE Corporate Tax law across client engagements, driving standardization and efficiency across compliance processes.
  • Update working templates and SOPs to reflect regulatory changes, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives, leveraging expertise to enhance the quality and effectiveness of compliance processes.
Reporting & Governance:
  • Maintain trackers for deliverables, deadlines, and client-specific workflows, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of results.
  • Prepare internal and external reports on tax compliance status and key metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Ensure adherence to firm-wide quality standards in all submissions, upholding the highest levels of professionalism and integrity.
Team Management:
  • Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals handling UAE compliance delivery, fostering growth and development through training and coaching.
  • Review outputs for technical accuracy and completeness, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Conduct periodic training sessions to ensure team is updated on compliance and regulatory developments, promoting ongoing learning and improvement.
