Azure Database Administrator

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our database administration team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance database systems on the Azure platform.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring the security, scalability, and reliability of our databases. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain high-performance database systems on the Azure platform
  • Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of our databases
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop solutions
  • Implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure business continuity
  • Monitor and optimize database performance
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL workflows between MS SQL databases and Data Bricks or Snowflake platforms

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • At least 9+ years of experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
  • Expertise in managing databases such as DB2, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, MySQL, Sybase, MongoDB, Cosmos DB
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and knowledge of Azure database is a plus
  • Azure Certification Preferred
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues in database environments
