Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement microservices using modern Java functional programming concepts.
  2. Collaborate on event-driven systems using Kafka and apply architectural patterns like Choreography, Strangler, and Sidecar.
  3. Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  4. Develop and deploy applications in the public cloud using services like Cloud Run, Kubernetes Engine, and Cloud Storage.
  5. Write clean, testable, and scalable code with emphasis on readability and maintainability.
  6. Contribute to the adoption of modern Java features, including Pattern Matching, Records, and Record Patterns.
  7. Demonstrate a foundational understanding of deployment patterns and CI/CD pipelines in cloud environments.

Technical Requirements:

  1. Deep understanding of Java Streams, Functional Interfaces, Lambda expressions, Supplier, Consumer, Function, and reduce operations.
  2. Experience with newer Java features (preferably Java 17+).
  3. Proficiency in immutable data structures, pure functions, and clean code principles.

  3. Strangler Pattern
  4. Sidecar Pattern
  5. Hands-on experience with Kafka or other message brokers in an Event-Driven Architecture (EDA).
  1. Hands-on experience deploying applications in a public cloud (GCP, AWS, Azure).
  2. Familiarity with Cloud Run, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, or equivalents in other clouds.
  3. Understanding of deployment automation, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD best practices.
