System Architect Role Overview
This position involves defining and owning the complete hardware architecture for AG and TVM, based on system-level design inputs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hardware System Architecture & Design :
- Translate customer and system requirements into a cohesive and reliable hardware architecture, with considerations for passenger interaction, maintainability, and diagnostics.
- Ensure electromechanical compatibility and standards compliance across all hardware subsystems.
- Hardware & Interface Integration :
- Design and oversee the integration of AG/TVM hardware interfaces with internal NEC Systems: AFC Back-End System, AFC Station Server, Other Front-End Devices (excluding AG/TVM), EMV Payment Application for TVM.
- Define and validate connectivity and interoperability across device interfaces using industry-standard protocols and custom integrations as required.
Technical Skillset:
Platforms :
- Embedded Linux, RTOS (e.g., VxWorks, QNX, FreeRTOS).
Interfaces :
- RS232, RS485, CAN Bus, I2C, SPI, USB, Ethernet.
Protocols :
- TCP/IP, Serial, HTTP(S), Secure APIs, ISO 14443, ISO 7816, EMVCo Design Tools.
Testing Tools :
- Oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, test automation : EMV, ISO 14443/18092, PCI DSS, RAMS, EN50126/50128.
Requirements :
7+ years of experience in similar roles. Strong understanding of system-level design and hardware architecture.
