  • A Technology Support Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring operational stability across multiple business system components.
Duties and Responsibilities

  • The ideal candidate is expected to be an SME (Subject Matter Expert) in database administration, with expertise in Oracle Database Administration.
  • This position involves collaborating and managing a team to perform tasks efficiently, as well as making key decisions that impact the team's performance.
  • Effective communication and collaboration are essential skills for this role, as the successful candidate will engage with multiple teams and contribute to strategic decisions.
  • Providing solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams is also a key responsibility of this position.
  • Facilitating training sessions for junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge is another important aspect of this role.
  • Maintaining system performance and proactively identifying areas for improvement is critical to success in this position.
Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Must-have skills: Proficiency in Oracle Database Administration (DBA), including strong understanding of database performance tuning and optimization.
  • Experience with backup and recovery strategies for Oracle databases is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with SQL and PL/SQL programming languages is essential for this role.
  • Knowledge of database security best practices is also required.
