Job Description

The Global Security Operations Centre is a crucial component of our organisation's security framework. As a GSOC Operator, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient running of this centre.

  • Analyse and monitor various systems to identify potential security threats to our assets, operations, and employees.
  • Respond to alerts and incidents in a timely and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities

As a GSOC Operator, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Day-to-day operations of the Global Security Operations Centre.
  • Monitoring and analysing risks and threats that may affect our organisation.
  • Investigating and responding to alerts raised on various security systems.
  • Supporting international travel threat analysis for our employees travelling abroad.
  • Early detection of potential issues and identification of new technologies and upgrades for existing systems.
  • Ensuring procedures and protocols are followed to enable timely and effective response to incidents.
  • Management of incidents, alarms, notifications, calls, and other activities related to the GSOC and its role as a central monitoring station.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience working in a Security Operations Centre, Security Communications Centre, Security/Alarm monitoring centre or other closely related operation.
  • Proven record of accomplishment in customer service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to prioritise workload based on urgency and communicate to a range of audiences including executive management.
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance, monitoring of assets, and making rapid notifications via mass communication tools.
  • Ability to work independently and confidently in decision-making within defined processes.
  • Sound understanding and application of technology and use of technical platforms and systems to deliver quick and accurate results.
