Job Title: Technical Leadership Specialist

We are seeking a skilled technical leader to oversee the design and development of vacuum furnaces and equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with at least 15-20 years of experience in the field.

  • Lead technical teams in providing solutions and execution methods in response to customer specifications
  • Collaborate with sales managers to size and cost technical offers, ensuring proper pre-approval
  • Monitor projects on a weekly basis, ensuring timely delivery and provision of technical support

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee engineering management and provide technical analysis for projects
  • Drive conceptual design and development for implementing innovative/upgraded solutions
  • Interface with colleagues and customers throughout the design, development, implementation activities and delivery cycle associated with equipment build

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor/Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Design and analysis of mechanical structures/low/high/ultra-high vacuum systems
  • High Pressure Vessel design/construction
  • High Temperature Hot Zone design/construction
  • Heating Elements/Heat-Shield or Insulation design and construction
  • Heat Exchanger design/construction
  • Hot-zone support structure/Hearth bar design/construction
  • Knowledge about Heat treatment, brazing, carburizing, hardening, annealing, melting, etc.
  • Advanced skills in 2D & 3D CAD software - preferably AutoCAD and Inventor or Solid Works
  • Thermal exchange calculation / Computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
  • Finite Element Method (FEM) and Thermo-mechanical simulations analysis

Preferred Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate should possess excellent leadership skills, be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and have a strong ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

They should also have a strong understanding of design principles, be able to analyze complex data sets, and be proficient in CAD software.
