About the Job:

This is a key position that requires a skilled professional to build, maintain and improve our data infrastructure using Snowflake.

  • Design and Development: Develop ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake Tasks, Streams and Stored Procedures. Design data models with clustering keys and optimize micro-partitioning for efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Data Ingestion and Transformation: Implement Snowpipe for real-time ingestion and external tables for data lake integration. Write complex SQL queries with window functions, CTEs and pivots to transform and analyze data.
  • Cost Optimization and Resource Management: Manage multi-cluster warehouses and implement resource monitors for cost control. Ensure optimal use of resources and minimize unnecessary costs.
  • Requirements and Responsibilities: Hands-on Snowflake development experience is essential. Strong Snowflake SQL and basic JavaScript stored procedures skills are required. Working knowledge of Tasks, Streams, Stages, File Formats, Time Travel, dbt core concepts (models, sources, tests, snapshots), warehouse sizing, auto-suspend/resume, query optimization, RBAC, data types, semi-structured data (JSON/XML) and familiarity with SnowSQL CLI and Snowflake web interface.
