About this role
This position is responsible for developing innovative solutions to address business challenges, planning and managing complex financial tasks, analyzing and extracting core issues in complex business processes, ensuring strong financial governance and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing strategies to improve financial performance.
- Planning, organizing and managing complex financial situations across units.
- Analyzing business processes to identify core issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Performing monthly closing of books of accounts and preparing profitability statements for senior management review.
- Preparing monthly MIS reports with detailed variance analysis and ageing reports.
- Creating and monitoring budgets and forecasts (weekly, monthly, and quarterly); analyzing variances and providing actionable insights.
- Leading the internal audit department and implementing audit tools to improve efficiencies.
- Designing, implementing and monitoring internal controls and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Submitting and revising Internal Audit Charters and Audit Plans as required.
- Ensuring compliance with corporate policies, accounting standards and local tax regulations.
- Identifying cost control areas and implementing effective strategies to reduce costs and avoid revenue leakages.
- Participating in value improvement initiatives and capex project reviews to ensure timely and cost-effective implementation.
- Contributing to profit optimization and cost control through detailed contribution analysis reports.
- Liaising with statutory and internal auditors for quarterly audits and financial reviews.
- Coordinating with department heads for annual budget preparation and operational cost planning.
- Overseeing accounts receivables and payables, reconciliation processes, and other accounting functions.
- Ensuring maintenance and reconciliation of General Ledger accounts with high accuracy and integrity.
- Maintaining payroll and accounting records to ensure adequacy of information and compliance with policies.
Qualifications and Skills
To be considered for this role, you will need a CA or MBA in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration, minimum 20 years of experience in auditing, financial analysis and compliance, proficiency in financial analysis, auditing procedures, financial planning, reporting and audit tools, advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, willingness to conduct surprise audits and travel to overseas locations, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Compensation Package
The compensation package for this role includes a salary up to 18 lacs p.a.
