Financial Strategist Role

Job Summary:

This is a high-impact leadership position with end-to-end responsibility for financial strategy, planning, and execution. The ideal candidate will have expertise in applying automation and intelligence in finance operations to drive business growth.

You will work closely with the leadership team to develop and implement strategic initiatives that leverage AI and data analytics to optimize financial performance.

The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, strong written and oral communication abilities, and experience working with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Financial Planning and Budgeting:
    • Lead quarterly and annual budgeting processes, aligning financial goals with company objectives using AI-enabled planning tools.
    • Develop robust forecasting models for revenue, costs, and cash runway, leveraging data analytics and AI-powered insights.
    • Track key SaaS metrics, such as LTV, CAC, NRR, payback period, and contribution margins, using real-time data and AI-driven analysis.
    • Drive variance analysis, scenario planning, and cost-benefit assessments to inform strategic decisions.
    • Support pricing, hiring, and expansion plans through data-backed financial insights and playbooks.
    • Design reporting frameworks and dashboards to deliver actionable insights to leadership and function heads.
  2. Cash Flow Management:
    • Manage cash flow to support business continuity and growth, monitoring monthly runway and raising alerts to leadership as needed.
    • Optimize working capital and cash conversion cycle using AI-led process improvements and data-driven insights.
  3. Business Strategy Support:
    • Collaborate with the leadership team to align financial goals with overall business strategy, providing financial input during strategic planning sessions.
    • Support significant business decisions with data-driven financial analysis and recommendations.
  4. Reporting & Compliance:
    • Own monthly management information systems (MIS), board decks, and leadership updates, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
    • Lead audit closures and maintain internal controls and adherence to financial regulations.
  5. Team Leadership and Development:
    • Mentor and grow a strong finance team across functions, fostering a culture of automation, ownership, and continuous improvement.
    • Encourage an AI-first mindset among team members, promoting innovation and efficiency in finance operations.
  6. Process Setup and Continuous Improvement:
    • Design and institutionalize policies across entities with scalable, tech-enabled workflows, driving automation and accuracy in financial operations.
    • Stay abreast of new technologies, AI practices, and regulatory changes, applying them to improve finance processes and outcomes.
    Qualifications:
  • CA Qualified or MBA from a top-tier institution.
  • Prior experience in business finance is required, preferably with expertise in applying AI in finance workflows.
  • Excellent written and oral articulation, with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts effectively.
  • Highly competent in working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, with a positive attitude and keen to learn.
