Machinist Maintenance Specialist

As a Machine Shop Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machine shop by performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and implementing preventative measures to minimize downtime.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance, with experience working on various types of machinery, including grinding machines, turning centers, and machining centers. They will also possess excellent problem-solving skills, be able to work independently, and have a keen eye for detail.
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance tasks on machine shop equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as needed.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and diagnose equipment issues, using technical manuals and other resources to troubleshoot problems and implement repairs.
- Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to minimize equipment downtime and extend the life of machine shop assets.
Key Requirements:
- Mechanical Maintenance Experience: 3+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
- Mechanical aptitude: Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, gears, and other components.
- Problem-solving skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
- Communication skills: Strong communication skills, with ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
