Key Role:

As a seasoned leader, you will oversee the engineering function from Hyderabad.

This leadership position plays a crucial role in shaping our enterprise data strategy, driving platform innovation, and delivering scalable data solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Data Engineering Vision & Strategy: Develop and drive the data engineering vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business goals.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of engineers, architects, and analysts across multiple projects.
  • Innovation & Accountability: Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Platform Development:

  • Scalable Platforms: Architect and oversee the development of scalable data platforms using modern tech stacks.
  • Integration & Orchestration: Ensure seamless integration across UI, APIs, orchestration layers, and data processing pipelines.

Operational Excellence:

  • Observability & Governance: Establish data observability practices for proactive monitoring and issue resolution. Implement robust data governance frameworks ensuring compliance and data quality.
  • Security Best Practices: Champion data security best practices across the platform.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Business Alignment: Partner with business, product, and technology leaders to align data initiatives with strategic priorities.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with executive leadership, translating technical concepts into business value.

Essential Requirements:

  • Leadership Experience: 12+ years of experience in engineering, with at least 3 - 5 years in leadership roles.
  • Cloud-Native Expertise: Proven track record of building and scaling data platforms in cloud-native environments.
  • Technical Skills: Strong background in Apache Spark, Airflow, Python, FastAPI, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Deep understanding of data architecture, data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and orchestration frameworks.

Hyderabad-Specific Attributes:

  • Tech Ecosystem Familiarity: Familiarity with the Hyderabad tech ecosystem and ability to attract and retain top talent.
  • Hybrid Work Arrangement: Comfortable working in a hybrid or onsite leadership capacity from our Hyderabad office.
