Key Responsibilities- Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with Australian accounting standards.
- Assist with Business Activity Statements (BAS), Goods and Services Tax (GST), and other tax-related filings.
- Process payroll and superannuation contributions as required.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Collaborate with accountants to prepare financial reports and maintain compliance.
- Oversee invoicing, receipts, and expense tracking processes.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and clients regarding financial matters.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience, preferably working with Australian clients or companies.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, or MYOB.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of BAS, GST, superannuation, and other Australian compliance requirements.
- Communication: Fluent English (written and verbal) with clear, professional, and confident communication skills.
- Work Style: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Mindset: Sharp, analytical, and proactive problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience working with Australian businesses.
- Certification in bookkeeping or accounting.
