Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Formulation Scientist to join our team at Marksans Pharma. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of oral liquid products, including solution and suspension formulations, for regulated markets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct literature search and patent evaluation to support formulation development.
2. Prepare and review documents such as formulation development approach papers, stability protocols, and batch manufacturing records.
3. Perform pre-formulation studies, including API and innovator product characterization.
4. Manufacture lab-scale batches and evaluate in-process and finished product process parameters.
5. Conduct formula and process optimization studies.
6. Execute technology transfer and monitor pilot, trial, and validation activities at the plant.
7. Maintain and review raw data, completeness check, and archival of laboratory notebooks.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development.
Requirements:
1. Sound knowledge of oral suspension products and physical pharmacy/pharmaceutics.
2. Hands-on experience in formulation development of liquid oral products.
3. Good communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
4. Knowledge and exposure to solid oral dosage is an added advantage.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
1. Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or a related field.
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in formulation development.
3. Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
4. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
5. Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
