Job Title: Data Scientist - Machine Learning

ImpactGuru Technology Ventures Pvt Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist - Machine Learning to join our team. As a Data Scientist - Machine Learning, you will be responsible for formulating, suggesting, and managing data-driven projects that further the company's interests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collate and clean data from various entities for later use by junior data scientists.
  • Delegate tasks to Junior Data Scientists to realize the successful completion of projects.
  • Monitor the performance of Junior Data Scientists and provide them with practical guidance as needed.
  • Select and employ advanced statistical procedures to obtain actionable insights.
  • Cross-validate models to ensure their generalizability.
  • Produce and disseminate non-technical reports detailing the successes and limitations of each project.
  • Suggest ways in which insights obtained might be used to inform business strategies.
  • Stay informed about developments in Data Science and adjacent fields to ensure that outputs are always relevant.
Requirements:
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to confidently work with cross-functional teams across the globe and to present information to all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to develop hypotheses, understand, and interpret data within the context of the product/business.
  • Solve problems and distill data into actionable recommendations.
  • Intellectual and analytical curiosity - an initiative to dig into the why, what, and how.
  • Strong number-crunching and quantitative skills.
  • Basic proficiency on ML techniques - clustering, decision tree learning, nave Bayes, support vector machines, Q-learning, the temporal difference, adversarial networks, and neural networks would be a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint. Good hands-on experience in SQL.
  • Experience in Text Analytics, Natural Language Processing.
  • Experience within Google Analytics, Optimize, Tag Manager, and other Google Suite tools. Experience in Python/R or any equivalent tools is mandatory.
  • Understanding of Business analytics tools & statistical programming languages. An advanced degree in Data Science/Data Analytics or Math/Statistics would be preferred.
