Job Title: Senior Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Principal Engineer to join our team in the Site Reliability Engineering space.

  • SRE Operations: Lead day-to-day operations for Accounting and Finance applications, ensuring they run smoothly and meet business expectations.
  • Platform Management: Ensure Accounting and Finance platforms meet defined SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs for performance, reliability, and uptime.
  • Automation & Efficiency: Develop automation for deployments, monitoring, scaling, and self-healing capabilities to reduce manual effort and operational risk.
  • Maintenance and Upgrades: Implement and maintain comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and logging for accounting applications and data pipelines.

This role is focused on building and maintaining scalable and reliable infrastructure, as well as driving incident response and resolution. You will partner with software engineers, data engineers, and Finance/Accounting teams to ensure operational needs are met from development through production.

Responsibilities:
  1. Operational Oversight: Manage workload, priorities, and escalations for operations staff and partner teams, ensuring alignment with SLAs and compliance requirements.
  2. Capacity Planning: Establish and enforce best practices for capacity planning, performance tuning, disaster recovery, and compliance controls in financial systems.
  3. Security and Compliance: Ensure financial applications and data pipelines meet audit, compliance, and security requirements.

You will be responsible for identifying areas of improvement and implementing changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness. This includes developing and maintaining tools, processes, and procedures to support operations.
