Job Title: Geographic Information System Developer

We are seeking a highly motivated GIS Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience as a Geospatial specialist, with a strong grasp of ArcGIS, Python and JavaScript.

The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in deploying scalable solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform, and will be responsible for developing, deploying and maintaining connectors to customer interfaces.

The role involves analyzing, reviewing and modifying programming systems, ensuring software can be completely integrated into the customer's system, and coordinating software integration and maintaining technical documentation.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop, deploy and maintain connectors to connect with customer interfaces
  • Communicate and understand technical requirements of customers interfaces and develop appropriate architecture for implementations
  • Analyze, review and modify programming systems including encoding, testing, and debugging
  • Ensure that software can be completely integrated into the customer's system
  • Coordinate software integration and maintain technical documentation
Required Skills and Experience:
  • ArcGIS Desktop /Pro, Enterprise Geodatabase, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/Python and understanding how to build high-performance UI applications capable of visualizing large amounts of data
  • Experience with front-end technologies (e.g., React, HTML, JavaScript, CSS languages and frameworks)
  • Knowledge of Azure Cloud is preferable
  • Proven experience developing dynamic front-end web applications
  • Writing clean code with well-defined abstractions that reduce complexity
  • Passionate about implementing responsive and user-friendly interfaces
  • Knowledge and utilization of REST API and other web services for integrating
  • Experience with at least one RDBMS (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) and strong SQL skills
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration
  • Experience in Azure Repo with knowledge of git and Azure Containers
  • Masters degree in GIS, Geographic Science, Computer Science, Survey Engineering or related field
