Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Oracle DBA to join our team in a fast-paced production support and full-lifecycle implementation role. The ideal candidate will have strong development background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expertise in database architecture, logical and physical design, automation, documentation, installs, shell scripting, PL/SQL programming, backup & recovery concepts, and database performance and tuning.
  • Support client's database(s) throughout their life cycle, from design and development to testing and performance tuning.
  • Collaborate with developers to design and build new structures to support application enhancements and promote database changes throughout the Dev, UAT and Prod databases.
  • Responsible for quarterly patch applications (PSU) and periodic database upgrades with minimal downtime in database environment.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of related experience with implementation and administration of database systems.
  • Able to administer, manage and tune high-transaction Standalone/RAC production server environment(s) on premises and cloud environments.
  • Strong analytical abilities to solve complex database performance issues using AWR/ASH/ADDM/TKPROF/SQLT/10046 tracing/OSWatcher/CHM etc.
  • Strong knowledge on Oracle Exadata and database upgrade/migrations.
  • Knowledge on database programming and query troubleshooting.
  • Experience in managing Database in AWS cloud environment and writing Shell scripts.
