Job Overview

The Database Administrator plays a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining efficient database solutions that meet the needs of our business. This individual will be responsible for developing, testing, and deploying Oracle SQL and PL/SQL scripts, packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing and implementing database structures that meet application needs and business requirements.
  • Optimizing and tuning SQL queries to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborating with application developers to design, implement, and maintain database solutions.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving database-related issues, including data discrepancies and performance bottlenecks.
  • Participating in code reviews and ensuring adherence to best practices for SQL and PL/SQL development.
  • Working closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience working with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL in a development environment.
  • A strong understanding of relational database concepts and SQL.
  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and optimizing them for performance.
  • Experience with PL/SQL programming, including the creation of stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages.
  • Familiarity with database design principles and data modelling.
  • Knowledge of performance tuning techniques and tools for Oracle databases.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
