Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Event Management Professional to lead our banquet team and execute events with high standards.
- Responsibilities:
- Develops and directs a team to provide consistent, high-quality service.
- Communicates performance expectations and trains staff in processes.
- Manages financial and administrative duties.
Candidate Profile:
- Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years experience in event management, food and beverage, or related field.
Key Activities:
- Supporting Department Operations: Manages departmental inventories and assets, including par levels and equipment maintenance.
- Leadership: Conducts monthly meetings with the Banquet captains and employees, maintains attendance logs, and enforces sanitation standards.
- Inventory and Supply Management: Orders supplies for the department and uses banquet beverage use records to guide liquor control and requisitioning.
- Scheduling and Team Management: Schedules banquet service staff to forecast and service standards while maximizing profits.
- Customer Service: Sets a positive example for guest relations, interacts with guests to obtain feedback, and responds to guest problems and complaints.
- Human Resources: Interviews and hires Banquet captains and employees, supports departmental orientation, and observes employee service behaviors.
