About the Role

We are seeking an experienced cloud professional to design, implement, and manage secure and scalable cloud environments in regulated industries. As an AWS Platform Engineer, you will work with cutting-edge technologies to ensure the security, compliance, and efficiency of our cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement AWS cloud environments in highly regulated industries such as finance, ensuring compliance with security frameworks like GDPR, FCA, and PRA.
  • Architect and deploy Kubernetes-based solutions using Amazon EKS, Istio service mesh, and Kong API Gateway, ensuring scalability and high availability.
  • Implement and manage security solutions using tools like Dynatrace, Fortigate, and AWS-native security services (e.g., Security Hub, GuardDuty, WAF), maintaining a strong focus on data protection and privacy.
  • Lead efforts in Privileged Access Management (PAM) to ensure secure management of sensitive cloud resources, adhering to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and CloudFormation, promoting consistency and efficiency in cloud deployments.
  • Design and implement monitoring and observability solutions integrating tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, and Prometheus, ensuring real-time visibility into cloud environment performance and security.
  • Maintain AWS environments in accordance with security frameworks, compliance standards, and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience managing AWS cloud environments, especially in regulated industries like finance.
  • Proven expertise in EKS, Kubernetes, Istio, API Gateway, and container orchestration.
  • Deep experience with AWS security tools (e.g., GuardDuty, Security Hub, WAF) and security frameworks.
  • Expertise in Privileged Access Management (PAM) and securing privileged actions in cloud environments.
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) for cloud automation.
  • Familiarity with monitoring solutions like Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, and Fortigate.
  • AWS Certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, Security, or DevOps) preferred.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, based on location and industry standards.
