Quality Assurance Tester Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Tester to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

This is an exciting opportunity for a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Quality Assurance Tester. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products function as intended, identifying defects, and collaborating with developers to resolve issues.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manual Functional Testing: Perform thorough manual functional testing of web and mobile applications to identify defects and areas for improvement.
  • Test Case Management: Develop, maintain, and execute test cases, test plans, and test scenarios based on requirements.
  • Defect Tracking: Validate bug fixes, track issues in the bug tracking system, and ensure they are resolved efficiently.
  • Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to ensure existing functionality remains stable and consistent.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with developers and product owners to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Issue Reporting: Ensure that defects are reported clearly, including steps to reproduce and an impact analysis.
Key Performance Metrics
  • Defect Detection Rate: Achieve a defect detection rate of 95% or higher.
  • Defect Leakage: Maintain a defect leakage rate of 5% or lower.
  • Test Coverage: Ensure test coverage of 90% or higher.
  • Bug Closure Rate: Maintain a bug closure rate of 90% or higher.
