Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced educator to join our team as a STEM Education Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics, physics, or chemistry, and possess excellent teaching and training skills.

The successful applicant will be responsible for developing and implementing high-quality STEM programs for teachers, conducting workshops and courses on progressive pedagogical and adult learning methodologies, and preparing capacity building program plans in STEM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging and effective STEM workshops and courses for teachers;
  • Develop program materials and resources for short-term and intensive courses;
  • Conduct training need assessments, baseline and end-line assessments to check the effectiveness of the program;
  • Conceptualize, design, and conduct research studies on regular basis to enhance the quality and effectiveness of the program modules and other resources.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field;
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience in capacity-building programs in Teacher Education;
  • Excellent teaching and training skills;
  • Strong background in mathematics, physics, or chemistry.

Other Activities:

  • Collaborate with teachers, team members, and other TMF members to perform assigned tasks effectively;
  • Contribute to the development and publication of Annual Report, Newsletter, and other publications;
  • Participate in staff development activities and workshops which academically relevant for the subject team;
  • Any other task assigned by the Reporting Manager.

Education Requirements: Master's degree in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field is required. A B.Ed or an equivalent degree is also acceptable. Experience in Capacity Building Programs for Teachers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) is essential. This role requires exceptional communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical thinking, and project management skills. To succeed, you must have the ability to prioritize tasks effectively, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and maintain accurate records.
