Scientific Graphic Designer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our organization as a Scientific Graphic Designer. As a key member of the team, you will have the opportunity to work with scientists, researchers, and writers across the globe, converting complex scientific ideas into engaging content and visuals tailored to different audiences.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in STEM fields, particularly Biology, Biotechnology, Medicine, Chemistry, Physics, or Engineering. They should also possess 3-5 years of experience in scientific graphic designing, proficiency in Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop), and advanced skills in creating visually engaging materials such as scientific illustrations, graphical abstracts, journal cover images, infographics, posters, brochures, and more.

The responsibilities of this role include developing visually engaging graphical abstracts, reading and comprehending scientific manuscripts, creating storyboards, generating rough sketches, and reviewing peers' outputs. Excellent communication skills, close collaboration with researchers, writers, and clients, and ensuring that all visuals are both scientifically accurate and visually impactful are essential for success in this position.

To be successful in this role, you should have a graduate or PhD degree in a STEM field, be highly organized, and possess excellent time management skills. Having experience in creating 3D designs in Blender is an added advantage. Additionally, a good understanding of the scientific publishing & science communication landscape is required.
