The Role:

This full-time, remote position plays a crucial role in guiding students through their learning journey as a subject matter expert.

The ideal candidate will provide assistance and aid learners enrolled in data-related fields, utilizing proven experience as a data engineer and/or data scientist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and respond to student inquiries within 24 hours via the learning management system
  • Rely on industry knowledge to guide students through complex assignments and questions
  • Provide prompt feedback to help students build problem-solving skills
  • Suggest course improvements to enhance content clarity and effectiveness

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of extensive work experience in data engineering, data science, or data analytics
  • Professional and/or academic experience in machine learning and artificial intelligence
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, and GitHub
  • Experience using data visualization tools (i.e. Tableau)
  • Experience using Microsoft Azure
  • Advanced academic background in mathematics, particularly statistics, calculus, and linear algebra
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to listen effectively and maintain a mutual comfort level while working with diverse students
  • Experience using Canvas or other related learning management system
