About the Role

We are seeking an experienced engineering manager to lead development of cutting-edge medical device systems and products.

This individual will apply proven leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, and knowledge of best practices to guide their team on issues related to system design, characterization, verification testing, operations support, and product release.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement system design, development, and validation strategies for medical device systems and products.
  • Oversee the investigation and evaluation of existing technologies in partnership with other departments.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in developing new concepts from initial design to market release and sustain products already on the field.
  • Monitor documentation maintenance throughout all phases of development.
  • Coordinate activities across product teams to ensure timely delivery of systems for design characterization, verification, and validation testing.
  • Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient operation of the function.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers involved in system SI&T process.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of systems verification and validation processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree required with minimum 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience managing a cross-functional engineering technical team size of 20 or more.
  • Proven blend of people management and technical savviness.
  • Deep understanding of embedded and application SW development processes (Agile, waterfall methodology) and in establishing metrics & recommended processes for the team.
