About this senior role

You will lead the delivery of projects in electrical engineering by collaborating with a wider team and building strong relationships with clients. Key responsibilities include:

  • Producing detailed technical documents such as design drawings, work specifications, and system assessments.
  • Completing design deliverables including circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and termination schedules.
  • Integrating substation auxiliary systems and equipment with protection and control systems.
  • Performing complex calculations for LVAC & DC system sizing, CT & VT adequacy checks, and cable sizing.
  • Supporting tendering activities with preliminary design documentation, Bills of Quantities, and Engineering Man Hour Estimates.

You may also be involved in fault current calculations, relay settings, and IED configuration based on project requirements. To succeed in this position, you should have a degree in Electrical Engineering with 8-12+ years of experience in designing protection & control systems. Required skills include strong English communication skills, ability to coordinate with clients and stakeholders, and proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD 2D. Preferred skills include knowledge of Trimble (Amtech), ETAP/PSCAD, and electrical systems.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing protection systems applied to busbars, feeders, transformers, reactors, etc., on 132kV and above systems. You will lead P&C design on projects, engage with junior engineers, and mentor them to become better engineers.
