We are seeking a dedicated Sustainability professional to join our team in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a sustainability expert to drive environmental responsibility across the organization. As a key member of our Global Legal and Sustainability Department, you will work closely with our Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Sustainability to develop and implement sustainable strategies aligned with our corporate objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sustainability Strategy Development: Support the development of a comprehensive sustainability strategy, integrating corporate goals with business unit objectives through collaboration with functional units such as the Innovation Department.
  • GHG/Energy Monitoring and Execution: In conjunction with the Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Sustainability, oversee all aspects related to GHG/Energy topics, including selected sub-aspects execution.
  • Global Sustainability Data Management: Be responsible for maintaining and advancing environmental-sustainability data collection, including relevant tools, across Rain Industries Ltd.
  • Sustainability Reporting and Communication: Assist the Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Sustainability in preparing sustainability reports and annual reports, as well as translating sustainability-relevant data into engaging content for communication purposes.
  • Carbon Footprint and Life Cycle Assessments: Translate life cycle assessment and carbon footprint studies into communicative content.
  • Sustainability Compliance: Monitor and research sustainability obligations for Rain Carbon Inc., including compliance with CSRD and ESRS (EU).
Requirements
  • A university degree in a technical field, with at least 5 years' experience in natural/environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in developing and implementing sustainability strategies, including setting targets.
  • A solid understanding of sustainability data management and greenhouse gas accounting, including relevant standards like GRI and GHG Protocol.
  • Knowledge of global sustainability initiatives, regulations, and rating systems (e.g., EcoVadis, CDP, UN Global Compact).
  • Business-level fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Proficiency in standard software (MS office).
