Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our team as a Mobility Specialist. This role is focused on developing strategies for cities to mitigate the adverse effects of urbanization in cities, through policy frameworks, design reviews and viable proposal development.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in urban planning, environmental science or related field, with proven experience working on urban spatial and/or environmental issues, preferably in air pollution control, EV policy integration and urban design.

  • Responsibilities:
  • • Develop and operationalize a Low Emission Zone (LEZ) framework tailored for Mathura.
  • • Conduct baseline assessment of vehicular and industrial emissions in the city.
  • • Identify vehicle categories, emission thresholds, and compliance strategies for the LEZ.
  • • Propose monitoring mechanisms (including use of Vahan data, ANPR, on-ground enforcement).
  • • Assess and recommend sustainable mobility solutions: EV adoption pathways, public transport electrification, NMT (non-motorized transport) integration, and multimodal connectivity.

The ideal candidate will have excellent research, data analysis, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote location, and as part of a team. Strong organizational and time management skills, along with proficiency in MS Office Suite and data analysis tools, are also essential.
