About the Role

In this role, you will report to the Sr. Engineering manager of e-commerce and be responsible for leading, designing, developing, and maintaining solutions on the Crunchyroll e-commerce platform. You will ensure adherence to engineering best practices and company standards, conduct code reviews, and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Core Areas of Responsibility

  • Lead the development of scalable and efficient backend solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that meet business needs.
  • Mentor and coach engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, and recommend their adoption where appropriate.

About You

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 12+ years of technical engineering experience.
  • Proven experience in leading and delivering complex engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, AngularJS, Bootstrap, and SFCC Scripting (ISML, Pipelines, Controllers).

This team focuses on developing and managing Crunchyroll's digital store, which offers a variety of merchandise, including apparel, collectibles, and exclusive items inspired by popular anime series.
