Backend Software Architect

Our company is looking for a skilled backend software architect to design, build and scale our next-generation credit card platform.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design and implement complex backend systems using Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, RESTful APIs, and related frameworks.
  • Develop scalable, extensible solution designs and collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.
  • Own code quality, writing clean, testable code, automating feature testing, and contributing to UI testing frameworks.
  • Act as subject matter expert for backend and middleware services supporting mobile applications.
  • Deploy high-quality, secure, and performant solutions into production environments.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing.

Basic Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in backend engineering using Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, RESTful APIs, and related frameworks.
  • 2+ years building internet-facing services at scale.
  • 2+ years working with AWS and/or OpenShift.
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, software engineering principles, databases, and parallel programming.
  • Experience integrating APIs with frontend/mobile frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with Apache Cordova.
  • Knowledge of native mobile development (iOS/Android).
  • Hands-on experience deploying applications in Kubernetes-based containers.
  • Background in Agile and SCRUM methodologies.
