Senior IT Operations Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Operations Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our IT services, managing IT service continuity, availability, and capacity, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes.

About the Role

The Senior IT Operations Specialist will play a critical role in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of our IT systems. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining regular operational tasks to ensure optimal performance of IT services;
  • Owning and maintaining the Regular OPS Tasks list, refining sporadic tasks based on input from the Operations Experts (OE) network;
  • Preparing for and attending emergency exercises (EE), reviewing outcomes and deriving follow-up tasks;
  • Communicating findings and improvements to the OE network;

In addition to these core responsibilities, the Senior IT Operations Specialist will also be expected to contribute to process improvement initiatives and collaborate with other teams to achieve shared goals.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 6+ years of experience in IT operations or a similar role;
  • Strong understanding of IT service management principles and practices;
  • Proficiency in monitoring and management tools (e.g., dashboards, alerting systems);
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in IT service management;
  • Experience in conducting root cause analysis (RCA) and managing known issues;
  • Ability to manage IT service continuity, availability, and capacity effectively;
  • Experience with change management processes, including creating and syncing changes with teams;
  • Ability to plan and execute capacity extensions and backup/restore processes;
