Job Title:

Senior Legal Specialist - Estate Planning Lead

A leading financial services firm is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Specialist to lead the development of their in-house legal wills and trusts offering.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IHT, CGT, and trust taxation issues, as well as commercial acumen and the ability to operate with minimal supervision.

This is a senior role with the potential to shape and scale a new legal function within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of the in-house legal wills and trusts service
  • Draft complex wills, discretionary and lifetime trusts, deeds of variation, and powers of attorney
  • Provide technical guidance and support to financial advisers and clients
  • Oversee compliance and risk management for legal outputs
  • Build and manage a small, high-performing team as the service expands

Requirements:

  • Full TEP Practitioner qualification
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in wills, trusts, and estate planning
  • Proven ability to handle complex HNW/UHNW client cases
