Senior IT Executive Position

The university is seeking a highly skilled Senior Executive to lead its Information Technology Team.

This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of the university's technology infrastructure and services. The successful candidate will contribute to the strategic implementation and maintenance of IT solutions that support the academic, administrative, and research needs of the university community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily IT operations, including network availability, server performance, and system uptime.
  • Provide advanced technical support for hardware (desktops, laptops, servers, printers) and software issues for faculty, staff, and students.
  • Manage day-to-day IT tasks and user requests, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Implement and manage software deployment, updates, and patching across the university's systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in IT support, system administration, or network management.
  • Proven experience working in a university environment is a significant advantage.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in administering Windows Server environments.
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts.
  • Experience with Firewall, Endpoint Protection System, and Intune Mobile Device Management administration.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with database management.
  • Experience with IT security best practices.
  • Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
  • Experience with Google Apps administration and Office 365 administration.
  • Knowledge and experience with CCTV and Access Control systems.
  • Experience with Meraki Wi-Fi administration.
  • Familiarity with CRM administration.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant industry certifications.
  • Experience with ITIL framework or other IT service management methodologies.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages for automation.
