Job Description:

As a seasoned Dam Instrumentation and Monitoring Specialist, you will serve as the nodal expert for overall coordination and implementation of DHARMA after DTL and TL. This involves reviewing instrumentation action plans in all Project Screening Templates (PSTs) and finalizing them concerning instrumentation, SCADA, and Surveillance & Control Systems.

You will provide technical support for the establishment of Centralized Control and Command Centres in various State capitals and individual control rooms at DRIP dams. Additionally, you will oversee data collection, transmission, processing, and analysis, and finalize outcome report protocols.

Key responsibilities include ensuring proper O&M of established instrumentation at DRIP dams, managing technical hardware, software, and data transmission for all instrumentation plans designed or received from DRIP IAs, and preparing technical bid documents as needed.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Reviewing instrumentation action plans in all Project Screening Templates (PSTs)
  • Providing technical support for the establishment of Centralized Control and Command Centres
  • Overseeing data collection, transmission, processing, and analysis
  • Ensuring proper O&M of established instrumentation at DRIP dams
  • Managing technical hardware, software, and data transmission
  • Preparing technical bid documents as needed
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess a degree in any branch of Engineering and have at least 10 years of experience in planning of instrumentations, technical specifications of instruments, SCADA, Surveillance, Control System, and automation in dams, data analysis, preparation of instrumentation plan of dams, work supervision of installation and commissioning of dam instrumentation etc. in minimum 3 large dams.

Key qualifications include:

  • Hold a degree in any branch of Engineering
  • Have at least 10 years of experience in planning of instrumentations
  • Have experience with SCADA, Surveillance, Control System, and automation in dams
  • Be skilled in data analysis and preparation of instrumentation plans
  • Have experience in work supervision of installation and commissioning of dam instrumentation

You will conduct need-based inspections of DRIP dams, accompany central DSRP panels for special dam safety issues, and manage any DRIP-related activities assigned by the Project Director, DRIP, CWC.
