As a detail-oriented procurement professional, you will oversee the management of procurement operations, ensuring timely delivery of quality materials while optimizing costs. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing procurement strategies, identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, maintaining supplier databases, collaborating with engineering teams to understand technical requirements, reviewing and approving technical documents, conducting market research, monitoring procurement budgets, analyzing data to identify cost reduction opportunities, forecasting pricing trends, coordinating with logistics teams, and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
The ideal candidate possesses experience in procurement, particularly in the construction and fabrication industry, strong negotiation and vendor management skills, proficiency in procurement software and Excel, and attention to detail with a focus on cost control and efficiency.
