Cloud Automation Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, building, and optimizing infrastructure automation solutions across cloud-based and hybrid environments.

The successful applicant should possess strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation. Additionally, they should have a solid understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Automation & Orchestration:
    • Develop reusable and scalable IaC templates using Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
    • Automate provisioning and configuration across public, private, and hybrid clouds.
    • Implement VMware automation with Aria stack and enable policy-as-code.
    • Manage OpenShift clusters to support containerized environments.
  • CI/CD Pipelines:
    • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and GitHub Actions.
    • Integrate automated testing and quality checks for deployments.
    • Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to streamline the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Cloud Platform Management:
    • Deploy and optimize infrastructure on VMware, OCI, and Google Cloud.
    • Enable multi-cloud and hybrid strategies with Kubernetes and Docker.
    • Automate solutions on Nutanix platforms and hyperscaler environments.
  • Monitoring & Optimization:
    • Implement monitoring, auto-scaling, and self-healing mechanisms.
    • Troubleshoot and ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Collaboration & Documentation:
    • Work closely with DevOps, Operations, and Security teams.
    • Maintain detailed documentation and provide team mentorship.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
  • CI/CD pipeline expertise (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions).
  • Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.
  • Expertise in VMware automation and Aria stack.
  • Experience with Nutanix (AHV, Prism, Calm).
  • Familiarity with Git/GitOps workflows.

  • Terraform Associate (HashiCorp)
  • OCI Certified Architect
  • Kubernetes (CKA / CKAD / OpenShift EX280)
  • VMware Certifications
  • Nutanix (NCA / NCP-MCI)
