Software Packaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Software Packaging Specialist to join our team.

This exciting opportunity involves preparing applications for deployment on Windows Operating Systems, employing available setup commands/scripting as well as repackaging and customizing setup applications using tooling such as InstallShield, RayPack, etc.

The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in application packaging and will be able to apply their knowledge to ensure the right packaging and delivery approach is used, depending on the application.

The Software Packaging Specialist will contribute to the BAU support of the Endpoint environment, executing the steps of the application packaging process within SLA limits. This includes application intake, packaging, technical testing, documentation, deployment, maintenance, and resolving incidents and requests related to packages.

The successful candidate will possess excellent troubleshooting and logical reasoning skills, with operational knowledge of the Microsoft Intune product family including Microsoft Configuration Manager with a focus on application creation/integration and deployment.

The Software Packaging Specialist will work in an ITIL-based operations environment using ITSM toolsets such as ServiceNow and must be flexible when emergencies occur. Proficiency in English is essential.

Required skills and qualifications include thorough knowledge of the MSI and MSIX packaging frameworks, Windows 11, AD Group Policies, PowerShell Scripting, VB scripting, and Microsoft certifications such as MD-100: Windows 10, MD-101: Managing modern desktops, or MD-102: Endpoint Administrator.

Beyond the required skills, preferred skills include experience in preparing applications for a Citrix environment, supporting multiple customer environments simultaneously, and working in an international environment.
